Week 3

Your Baby:

Your baby is a developed ball of cells called blastocyst that will make its way through the fallopian tube to the uterus cavity, where will continue growing and developing over the next 37 weeks.

Baby weight now: less than 1 gm

Baby size now: 0.2 mm

Your Body

You're not even aware that you are pregnant, although as your fertilized ovum is implanted in the lining of your uterus, you may notice some blood stains, but you do not have to worry.

Tips:

If you are a smoker, now is the time to quit. When you smoke, more than 4,000 toxic chemicals enter your bloodstream, which is the main source of oxygen and nutrients to your baby and not only that, smoking can cause the death of fetus or premature delivery.

Also it is the time to seek a gynecologist to follow up with you throughout your pregnancy. If you have friends who have had children, you can ask for their recommendations or ask your family so you have the opportunity to share the big news! It is a good option to talk to your family doctor.
