Week 27

Your Baby:

Now you can hear the heart beats of your baby, can be heard by supporting the ear on your belly!

This week your baby is seen as more red, thinner, more wrinkled than it will be at birth, but in the coming weeks the fat that accumulates under the skin changes its appearance. You think that your baby's heart beats is closely linked to yours, so your habits influence it, you must follow a healthy lifestyle and good habits for the sake of both of you.

You may notice that your baby has hiccups, hiccups different from ours, no noise, because it has no air in the lungs and it is produced in the form of spasms. His immune system continues to develop.  Lungs are still practicing breathing the amniotic fluid. They are the last organ to form, not used inside because it gets oxygen from the placenta through the umbilical cord.

Baby weight now: 900 gm

Baby size now: 33 cm

Your Body

You were accustomed to your second quarter, then you're starting to feel uncomfortable symptoms that begin from the third trimester like leg cramps.

These cramps are caused by pressure from the uterus on the veins and nerves that start from the trunk to the legs. Remember to stretch and move your legs to relieve or prevent cramps.

If you want, you can register for classes of breastfeeding (if available). If you are a first-time mum and plan to nurse your baby, it is good idea. Ask for recommendations from your doctor.
