The basic structures of baby's body, both inside and outside are formed, but will develop and grow more. If the baby is a girl her ovules have developed into her ovaries, and if a boy his prostate gland is developed.

Baby weight now: 65 gm

Baby size now: 12 cm

Your Body

Your figure has increased enough to carry your baby, your uterus is just above your pubic bone, which makes your belly protrudes slightly and the presence of your baby becomes more evident. From this week you will feel that your breasts are less sensitive and nausea continues to diminish.

Tips:

The test of "Quad Marker" is a test that is recommended during pregnancy to find out if your baby might have Down syndrome and defects in neural tube. It should be performed between weeks 15 and 20 of pregnancy, counted from the last menstrual period, it is a procedure that detects the amount of four substances in the blood to determine the probability that the markers are associated with the presence of the pathology of Down syndrome. The four measuring substances are: 1. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) 2. Unconjugated estriol (uE3) 3. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) 4. Inhibin-A

It can predict about 75% to 80% of open neural tube defects, approximately about 75% of cases of "Down syndrome" in children of women under the age of 35 years and more than 80% in children of women aged 35 and more. Because of the uncertainty in the results of this test consult your doctor to determine if the "Quad Marker" is suitable for you. Maybe your specialist will recommend “Amniocentesis".
